Town’s relegation from the Premier League after only one season was finally confirmed after the 10-man Blues were beaten 3-0 by Newcastle United at St James’ Park. Town will have been pleased with their performance until Ben Johnson became the fifth Blues player to see red this season on 37 for two bookable offences - the first highly controversial - before Alexander Isak gave the Magpies the lead from the spot in first-half injury time, then Dan Burn added a second 11 minutes after the restart and Will Osula added the third on 80.  0
